North Texas city unveils crime fighting Drones

(NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX) —  A North Texas police department has new eyes in the sky to help fight crime.

NBC 5 reports that officers in North Richland Hills are utilizing a new fleet of drones.  They can be used to provide 3D mapping at traffic accident scenes and a thermal view of structure fires.  The drones can also assist in foot pursuits, inspections, and SWAT standoffs.
