Fight continues to keep North Texas girl on life support

(FORT WORTH, TX) – Another hearing will take place today in a family’s fight to keep their child alive.

9-year-old Payton Summons remains on life support at Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth.  The girl suffers from cancer and went into cardiac arrest late last month, doctors at Cook’s were unable to revive her and say she is brain dead.  Earlier this month, Payton’s parents got a temporary restraining order to keep the girl on life support until they could find another hospital to take her.  A Tarrant County judge has since appointed an attorney to represent Payton.

Attorney’s for all parties will meet again this afternoon in hopes of reaching an agreement.
