Trump, Abbott declare day of mourning for Bush 41

(Austin, TX)  —  Governor Greg Abbott is joining President Trump in declaring Wednesday as a day of mourning in Texas and nationwide.

Trump announced over the weekend that Wednesday will be a national day of mourning for former President George H.W. Bush.  Abbott’s office issued a news release on Monday to second the motion.  On Wednesday, state government will be run by skeleton crews.  State and Federal offices and services will be closed, i.e. no mail service, also banks and the stock market will be closed.

The former president’s state funeral will be on Wednesday morning at the National Cathedral in DC.
