Race and Culture Task Force reports to Fort Worth City Council

(Fort Worth, TX) — The final recommendations of the Race and Culture Task Force are now in the hands of Fort Worth City Council.

The task force submitted its 85-page report at Tuesday’s council meeting.  The city formed the task force to advise the council on racial and cultural issues after the high-profile arrest of Jacqueline Craig and her daughters almost two years ago.  One recommendation is for an eleven-member Civilian Review Board for police oversight and accountability.

The Fort Worth Police Department reportedly isn’t sold on the idea.
