(Fort Worth, TX) — American Airlines says it’s returned to normal operations after cancelling more than 15-hundred flights over the weekend.

The Fort Worth-based airline and its partners had to cancel 12-hundred flights Sunday and another 400 Monday because of a winter storm in the Southeast.  The travel alert covered nine airports in four states.  American says most of yesterday’s canceled flights affected smaller aircraft flying out of its hub in Charlotte.
