Three people die during flash floods in Fort Worth

FORT WORTH, TX. (KTFW FM) – Heavy rains and flash flooding led to the death of 3 people over the weekend in east Fort Worth.  A 69 year old man drowned after his car was swept off the road into a rising creek near Oakdale and east loop 820.  In a separate incident, an 18 year old mother and her 2 year old daughter drowned when their car stalled in high water on the 820 access road near Wilbarger and floated into a culvert.  Flood warnings were in effect in North Texas at the time.
