Death Toll Goes Up In Fiery Fort Worth Crash

(Fort Worth, TX) — The death toll in a fiery traffic accident early Monday morning in Fort Worth is now six.

Police and fire officials say a pickup truck was speeding along Northside Drive near the North Freeway around 2 a.m. when it ran off the road into the woods.  The truck smashed into a tree and caught fire, killing all five people on board.  A homeless man camping nearby was severely burned when his tent caught on fire.  He was hospitalized in critical condition, and later died.

The medical examiner is trying to identify the badly burned bodies of the victims.
