Fort Worth Officials Lobby Congress For Gun Control Laws

(Washington, DC) —  Fort Worth city officials are in the nation’s capital, asking Congress to pass tougher gun laws.

Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price is a conservative gun owner, but she joined more than 200 mayors who signed a letter to Congress after last month’s shooting in El Paso.  Price and Fort Worth’s interim police chief Ed Kraus were in Washington on Monday to meet with White House officials and senators.

Lawmakers returned from their summertime break on Monday.
