Man Convicted Of Severely Beating 12-Year-Old Girl

(Fort Worth, TX) — The sentencing phase is underway for a man who was found guilty on Tuesday of the savage beating of a 12-year-old girl in Fort Worth.

The jury convicted 37-year-old Terry Wayne King, Jr. on separate charges of injury to a child and assault. King beat Doricka Uwimana as she was walking to her school bus stop. The girl was so severely injured she needed a heart transplant. King could be sentenced to between five and 99 years in prison.
