(Mineral Wells, Tx) – Mineral Wells embattled Mayor Christopher Perricone has entered the race for Texas House District Seat 60.

The Mineral Wells Index reports Perricone has filed to run as a Republican.  Since becoming Mayor in May 2018, Perricone has had a contentious relationship with the city.  He’s currently involved in several lawsuits and was once censured by the city council members over what they say were violations of the city charter.  Earlier this year, the council considered removing the mayor from his seat before settling on censure.

District 60 represents Palo Pinto, Brown, Callahan, Coleman, Eastland, Hood, Shackelford and Stephens counties.
