Report: Ex-Rangers Manger To Interview With Astros

(Houston, TX) — Former Texas Rangers manager Jeff Banister may be returning to the AL West.

Sources tell Fox 26 in Houston the Astros want to talk with Banister about their open managerial position. Banister won two AL West titles with Texas but was fired with ten games left in the 2018 season after the team lost 88 games. He spent last season as a special assistant in Pittsburgh.

Houston is looking for a new manager after A.J. Hinch was fired by Houston due to the Astros’ cheating scandal.
