(Dallas, TX) — The coronavirus outbreak is leading to shortages and delays at North Texas wedding gown and prom dress retailers.
The nation’s biggest prom store, WhatchamaCallit, with locations in Fort Worth and Dallas, is feeling the effect. A spokesman says 80-percent of their dresses are made in China, and they’re telling customers they’re not likely to get more of them before prom time in May.
Another North Texas based company that runs a couple of bridal shops says they can’t guarantee any Chinese-made wedding gowns to arrive before September 1st.
