Pier 1 Imports Going Out Of Business

(Fort Worth, TX) — Pier 1 Imports is going out of business.

The Fort Worth-based company announced Tuesday it would have to shut down after failing to find a buyer. The company filed for bankruptcy earlier this month. Pier 1 officials blamed the coronavirus pandemic on the tough retail market and inability to find someone to keep the company going.

The company has been around since 1962.
