SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Small Business Administration wants to reminded small nonfarm businesses in 34 Texas counties to get those applications in if you suffered losses from the drought that began in August 2019.

June 19th is the deadline to apply for an SBA federal disaster loan for economic injury. These low interest loans are to offset economic losses because of reduced revenues caused by drought in affected counties that include Tarrant, Denton, Ellis, Hill, Johnson, McLennan, Navarro, Parker and Wise.

The SBA says small nonfarm businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture and most private nonprofit organizations of any size may apply for Economic Injury Disaster Loans of up to $2 million to help meet working capital needs caused by the drought disaster.
