Murder For Hire Plot Crafted In A Cleburne Jail

(Cleburne, TX) — Four suspects are under indictment for an attempted murder-for-hire of a DEA task force officer.

The plot was reportedly put together while two of the suspects were in jail in North Texas. A federal grand jury indicted 22-year-old Manual Gomez, 27-year-old Jorge Larios, 38-year-old Eva Garcia, and 31-year-old Alicia Martinez for the conspiracy. Gomez and Larios are in custody, while Garcia and Martinez are believed to be in Mexico.

Federal prosecutors say Gomez was in Johnson County Jail on a meth charge when he hatched the plot.
