Fort Worth Teen Hit By Lightning Still Recovering

(Fort Worth, TX) — A Fort Worth teenager is back in his home town as he continues to recover from a Florida lightning strike.

Last month, 14-year-old Jacob Brewer was vacationing with his family in Florida when a summer thunderstorm hit the beach. After being hit by lightning, Jacob was taken to a local hospital, but late last week he was transferred to Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth.

Jacob has been paralyzed from the waist down, but on Monday morning, he moved his toes.
