(Granbury, Tx) – The Hood County News reports Texas is one of eight states that have not expanded ballot-by-mail during the coronavirus pandemic, so Granbury city officials are offering the Lake Granbury Conference Center as a social-distancing polling site for the upcoming presidential election if needed.

Accepting the offer will be up to the Commissioners Court.  The city says positioning voting machines 6 feet apart, you could probably put 150 machines in the facility.

Hood County election officials say they have ordered 45 additional voting machines due to the higher voter turnout in presidential elections.
