DPD Officer Shot During Robbery At Fort Worth Stockyards

(Fort Worth, TX) — An off-duty Dallas police officer is recovering in the hospital after being shot during a robbery on Sunday near the Fort Worth Stockyards.

Fort Worth police say the suspects tried to steal a purse belonging to the officer’s wife, and they shot him when he resisted. They drove off in a brown pickup truck, and after a brief chase, at least one of them was arrested.

Dallas Police say the officer was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
