(Granbury, Tx) – Members of the DeCordova Bend/Acton Volunteer Fire Dept, Granbury Fire Dept, Hood County Sheriff’s Office and Texas EMS safely freed a young boy Saturday morning that had fallen into a 10 ft. deep pier dug for the foundation of a new house.

According to a post on the DeCordova Bend/Acton VFD Facebook page, the 10-year-old boy was unharmed.  No word on how he fell into the hole.

The fire department’s post said “A Great Job goes to all who were involved in a very unique and challenging rescue.”
