Luby's, Fuddruckers Closing Down For Good

(Houston, TX) — Luby’s restaurants are closing for good.

The company started in San Antonio in 1947 by Robert Luby operates Luby’s restaurants, Fuddruckers and several other restaurants around the country. Yesterday, the Luby’s Inc. board members voted to dissolve the company. Millions of dollars from the proceeds of the sale will be distributed to stockholders.

The corporation has fallen on hard times during the coronavirus pandemic, being forced to cut staff salaries by 50% in March and sell assets due to revenue loss in June.
