(Granbury, Tx) – Granbury school officials are considering dropping remote education for failing students.

The district says more than half the students are failing at least one class.  GISD Superintendent Jeremy Glenn tells the Hood County News, “We cannot allow the COVID-19 pandemic to become a generational academic crisis for our students.”  As of Friday, the school had 14 active COVID-19 cases among staff and students.

Currently 16% of all Granbury students are participating in remote learning.  The district plans to make a decision on possibly ending virtual learning in the coming weeks.
