(Cleburne, Tx) – In an effort to spread a little Yultide joy, Cleburne’s annual Candlewalk Tour of Homes is going drive-by.
In past years, ticket holders to the event took a walking tour of historic Cleburne homes decked out for the holidays, on the first Saturday of December. COVID-19 has derailed that part, but the tradition will live on in the “Driving Tour of Lights.”
Organizers with Save Old Cleburne tell the Cleburne Times Review that because of Covid, homowners really didn’t want people walking through their homes, so the best alternative is to turn the event into sort of a Hollywood tour of movie stars’ homes.
Participating homeowners will decorate and light their homes and yard. Instead of being a one-day event this year’s event will run for two weeks, Dec 5-19th. Interested persons can pick up a free map listing the Cleburne homes on the Driving Tour of Lights around Nov 20th.
