(Fort Worth, TX) — Tarrant County’s “no-refusal” drunk-driver ID program isn’t just for holidays any more.

The Tarrant County Sheriff, the District Attorney, and other local law enforcement officials announced on Wednesday that the program is now year-round.  If a driver is suspected of DWI, police administer the routine breath test, and the driver could be subject to a blood test.

If the driver refuses, police can take the driver to jail and obtain a warrant for a blood draw.
