(Dallas, TX) — Southwest is relaxing coronavirus restrictions, with middle seats only staying blocked through Thanksgiving.

That means they’ll be open for Christmas and New Year’s travel.  Southwest cited research from several institutions that has concluded it is safe to travel on planes.   Southwest Airlines is also reporting its biggest loss in history.

The Dallas-based carrier announced on Thursday a third-quarter loss of more than a billion-dollars because of reduced travel during the pandemic.
