Report: George P. Bush May Run For TX AG

(Austin, TX) — Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush may run for Texas Attorney General.

A senior adviser tells The Texas Tribune there have been requests from donors to challenge fellow Republican Ken Paxton for the office in 2022 and he’s keeping his options open. Paxton has been accused of abuse of office and bribery by former staff members over a relationship with a donor.

Paxton denies the allegations and says he’s still planning to run for re-election.
