(Fort Worth, TX)  —  Tarrant County officials are working to correct a problem with mail-in ballots that couldn’t be scanned.

The county Elections Office revealed on Tuesday that about a third of the mail-in ballots have bar codes that the county’s scanner can’t read because of substandard printing.  Ballot board members are working in rotating shifts to copy the faulty ballots so they can be scanned and counted.

Board members are working in pairs, with each person from a different political party.
