Santo Great-Grandmother Still Alive No Matter What Government Says

(Santo, TX) — A North Texas great-grandmother is alive again, in defiance of the federal government.

Mary Hutson lives in Santo in Palo Pinto County. When her brother died in June, Hutson reported his death to the Social Security Administration, but soon learned she’d also been listed as deceased. She says the situation makes it impossible to carry out any kind of business.

She says it took some doing, but she finally got a letter from Social Security admitting she’s still alive.
