(Waxahachie, TX) — All students in the Waxahachie ISD are now required to show up for classroom learning unless they have a doctor’s excuse.
On-campus learning for all the students in the district resumed on Monday. The school board voted last month in favor of returning to in-person learning only. Dr. Bonn Cain, the district superintendent, says the decision was prompted by poor grades and low virtual attendance.
She says some students may not have had enough parental supervision to stick with online classes.
