NTX Lawyer Fired For Apparently Participating In Capitol Protest

(Westlake, TX) — A North Texas lawyer is off the job after apparently participating in Wednesday’s protest at the U.S. Capitol.

Westlake based Goosehead Insurance tweeted Thursday that they had relieved Associate General Counsel and Human Resources Director Paul Davis of duties. Instagram posts attributed to Davis feature him saying he was trying to get into the Capitol “to stop this” while also claiming he had been tear gassed.

A new post on the account says the comments were taken out of context and he just wanted to “voice a protest” without resorting to violence.
