First Father-Son HS Football Championship Coaching Matchup

(Arlington, TX) — What is believed to be the state’s first father-son high school football championship coaching matchup happens this weekend in Arlington.

The Westlake Chaparrals, coached by Todd Dodge, will take on the Southlake Carroll Dragons, coached by his son Riley Dodge, this weekend. Todd Dodge coached Riley Dodge in high school when Southlake Carroll won the Class 5A Division 1 title. They were also both at University of North Texas in 2008 and 2009.

The 6A Division 1 final is this Saturday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
