North Texas Gun Dealers Low On Ammo

(Dallas, TX) — North Texas gun stores and shooting ranges are facing ammunition shortages as ammo manufacturers struggle to meet the demand.

Record gun sales in 2020 are leading to the shortage, not only of ammo but of guns as well. The FBI National Instant Criminal Background Check System reports nearly 40-million background checks were done last year. The National Shooting Sports Foundation says there were more than eight-million first-time gun buyers in 2020.

Brisk gun sales were prompted by pandemic uncertainties, a summer of riots, and the fear that a Democratic administration would be hostile to gun rights.
