(Granbury, Tx) – If you see white SUVs with flashing lights slowly creeping through your neighborhood Sunday thru Tuesday nights don’t worry; it’s only Atmos Energy Leak Detection Survey crews.

Atmos says “crews and contractors will be in Granbury performing safety surveys of our natural gas distribution systems using mobile leak detection units that measure and map methane plumes in the area.”  They plan to survey all streets with gas lines in Granbury.

Mobile leak detection units will be labeled with an Atmos Energy logo or “Utility Contractor.” You will see this unit driving slowly in the street and alley at night.  As part of this routine maintenance, if a natural gas leak is discovered, crews will investigate.
