(Austin, TX) — Gov. Greg Abbott is preparing the state for this week’s anticipated severe weather.
On Monday, the governor activated state resources ahead of the heavy weather and flash floods that are forecast for much of Texas in the next few days. By mid-week, the widespread system may bring three to six or more inches of rain to North Texas.
State leaders say Texas could be in for large hail, high winds, street flooding, river flooding, and possible tornadoes. Abbott says Texans should pay attention to weather alerts and be wary of severe weather.
