Abbott Limits Migrant Transportation Due To Coronavirus

(Austin, TX) — Texas Governor Greg Abbott is ordering limits on the ground transportation of illegal immigrants detained by Customs and Border Protection.

He issued an executive order Wednesday saying only local, state, and federal law enforcement could transport suspected illegals. Abbott is also giving the Texas Department of Public Safety the power to pull over vehicles suspected of transporting migrants and send them back to their port of entry.

Abbott says it will reduce the risk of coronavirus moving through communities.
