Wife Of Texas Governor Candidate Arrested For DUI

(Dallas, TX) — The wife of a prominent Republican candidate for Texas Governor is being charged with DWI.

Col. Allen West’s wife Angela West was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of driving while drunk with her grandson in the car. The incident happened Friday night around 8:45 p.m. in Dallas, when West was pulled over and given a field sobriety test.

Allen West says his wife had been to dinner with friends, who confirmed that she only had lemonade and water.

Angela West was released from jail on Saturday afternoon.
