(Johnson County, Tx) – Johnson County authorities say a 70-year-old man shot his wife to death inside their house near Keene.

According to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, Charles Duckworth was arrested for murder in the death of 69-year-old Brenda Duckworth.  The Sheriff’s Office says Charles Duckworth actually called 911 to report that he had shot his wife.  Deputies arrived at the home on Wren Court and found the woman’s body.  Investigators have not given a motive for the shooting.

Duckworth was taken to the Johnson County Jail with bail set at $30,000.
