(Dallas, TX) — Health officials say the number of coronavirus patients in North Texas hospitals is plunging.
Right now, there are just over 24-hundred patients with the virus in the North Texas hospital region. A week earlier, there were more than 34-hundred. A spokesman for the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council says the declining numbers are an encouraging sign, and they’ll continue to monitor the activity on a daily basis. The region reached a high of more than 41-hundred cases last month at the height of the omicron surge.
Health officials say the area could drop to pre-omicron levels within the next two-weeks.
