(Fort Worth, TX) — Fort Worth City Council is considering a redistricting plan to create another majority-Hispanic district in the city.
On Tuesday, the city’s redistricting task force presented a proposed map to council members, leading to a work session that lasted several hours. The map adds a second Hispanic district on the southeast side of town, along with an additional seat on the city council.
As of now, only one of the council’s nine members is Hispanic.
