North Texas Toddler Attacked By Coyote

(Dallas, TX) — Police are trying to find the coyote that attacked a young child in his front yard.

Police say it happened Tuesday morning while the two-year-old was sitting on the front porch of the home at Royalpine near Goforth in Lake Highlands. One officer shot at the coyote as it ran off into the woods, but it’s not known if the animal was struck. The child is hospitalized in critical condition.

Wildlife officials are warning people that you should never approach, interact or feed wild animals and if you do see one, to try and scare it off by making loud noises.
