Coyote Shot, Killed Near Where Toddler Was Attacked

(Dallas, TX) — A coyote that attacked a two-year-old boy may be the one shot and killed near White Rock Lake.

City officials say a USDA crew killed the coyote on Wednesday evening, but they’re not sure it’s the same one that attacked the toddler at his home in the Lake Highlands area on Tuesday. The boy’s father says he needed surgery for gashes on his head and neck, but he’ll recover.

Dallas Animal Services and other groups are keeping an eye out in case the dangerous coyote is still on the loose.
