
(Johnson County, Tx) – Several bond proposals were put before voters in three Johnson County communities.
Burleson voters approved two city bond proposals in Saturday’s election. A more than $33.6 million bond package will go for street and road improvements. The second bond proposal includes over $52.3 million for construction, improvements and equipment purchases for public safety facilities within the city.
Voters in the Alvarado school district passed two bond packages totaling $125 million. The money will go toward the construction of a new elementary school, renovations to two existing elementary campuses, a new gym and new baseball and softball fields.
Joshua ISD voters rejected two bond proposals totaling $97.5 million for new construction and improvements.
