(Graford, Tx) – Graford ISD in Palo Pinto County has opted to shift to a four-day week in the upcoming school year.

The Weatherford Democrat reports the school board made the decision to move to a four-day week of Monday to Thursday, following input from teacher surveys and an online public survey last January.  The 2022-23 school year will start for students on Aug. 8th, which is 10 days earlier, with the final day of May 25th.  The district says the school day overall is only 30 minutes longer.

School Districts in Gordon, Woodson and Perrin-Whitt are already on the four-day format, and the Mineral Wells ISD school board is reportedly discussing the four-day option.
