(Coppell, TX) — A North Texas nurse vacationing in Alaska is credited with helping save the lives of some plane crash victims.

Tammy Saunders of Coppell with Grapevine Faith Christian School are chaperoning high schoolers on a two-week trip in Alaska.  On Saturday, the group was ziplining when a plane crashed almost in front of them.  Saunders and a zipline employee helped pulled a man, a woman, and their seven-month-old baby out of the Matanuska River.

The parents are out of the hospital, and the baby is recovering in the ICU.
