(Frisco, TX) — Former NFL running back Marion Barber the Third has been found dead.
Frisco police conducting a welfare check discovered the body of the 38-year-old ex-Cowboy inside his North Texas apartment on Wednesday. Known affectionately as “Marion the Barbarian” for his tough play on the field, Barber was a Pro Bowler in 2007 after running for almost a thousand yards and scoring ten touchdowns. He played seven years in the NFL after Dallas drafted him in 2005.
He spent 2011 with Chicago before retiring. Barber’s cause of death isn’t yet known.
