No Cowboys Kickoff Classic This Year

(Frisco, TX) — There will be no Cowboys Kickoff Classic at AT&T Stadium this year.

The college football game is on hold for at least one year after last year’s Stanford-Kansas State game brought in just below 29-thousand fans. Cowboys Business Operations Executive Vice President Chad Estis tells The Dallas Morning News they tried to find teams for this fall but didn’t get the right deal.

He also noted colleges have started doing massive upgrades to their own stadiums meaning they’d prefer to have games played there.
