(Undated) – The last living World War Two Medal of Honor recipient is dead at the age of 98.

Former Marine Corporal Hershel “Woody” Williams, who earned the military’s highest decoration for his bravery in the Battle of Iwo Jima, died peacefully at home in West Virginia, according to his family.

President Harry Truman awarded Williams the honor for his bravery.
