(Granbury, Tx) – Even during Stage 1 Water Restrictions, flushing the fire hydrants is a necessary part of maintaining a safe City of Granbury water system.
The city says it may seem like a huge waste of water, but it helps remove mineral and sediment build-up, allows the City to deliver the highest quality water possible, and verifies fire hydrants are working before they are needed in an emergency.
On Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (July 27-29) the City will be conducting the required flushing of fire hydrants on the north and west side of Lake Granbury. For a short time, water pressure in homes will fluctuate.
No one will be without water. Some roads will get wet.
