(San Antonio, TX) — HEB is issuing a voluntary recall for a particular ice cream flavor because of mislabeling that resulted in an undeclared allergen.

The San Antonio-based company announced on Monday that some half-gallon cartons of HEB Creamy Creations Light Cookies & Cream Ice Cream were labeled as HEB Creamy Creations Light Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream.  The Cookies & Cream flavor includes wheat as an ingredient, which could trigger allergic reactions in some people.  The sell by date on the product is Jan. 6, 2023.

North Texas HEB locations include Burleson, Cleburne, Granbury, Hudson Oaks and Stephenville.
