(Oxnard, CA)  —  The Cowboys are bringing back a familiar face to their kicking unit.

Dallas reportedly signed kicker Brett Maher on Tuesday after he worked out for the team.  In a corresponding move, the Cowboys waived undrafted rookie Jonathan Garibay, who struggled to make kicks in training camp. The 32-year-old Maher will battle Lirim Hajrullahu for the starting job.  Maher was the Cowboys’ starting kicker in 2018 and 2019.

The Cowboys start the preseason this Saturday night against the Broncos in Denver.
