Jon Daniels Fired As Rangers President Of Baseball Operations

(Arlington, TX) — Jon Daniels is out as the President of Baseball Operations for the Texas Rangers.

The team announced his firing Wednesday with Majority Owner Ray Davis saying a change in leadership was needed. Daniels had been with Texas for 17 years helping the team get to two World Series in 2010 and 2011. Executive Vice President and GM Chris Young will now run all aspects of the team’s baseball operations.

Texas fired Chris Woodward as manager earlier this week.
